At the Lake

This type of quilt is called a "watercolor" quilt. Small squares from many different fabrics are juxtaposed to create an overall pattern which sort of resembles an impressionist painting with distinct brush strokes. At the Lake is in the basset section on this website because on the shoreline in the quilt, one little square features three little basset hounds.
At the Lake was entered in the 2016 SKEA Quilt show on the Big Island and won a third place ribbon in the general category. Children visiting the show were challenged to find the basset hounds in the quilt along the lines of "Where's Waldo?" After the show, the quilt was donated to Missouri Basset Hound Rescue for a fund raiser.
